About Us

Know more about PAREF Westbridge School, Inc.

Thirty one years ago, a PAREF Southridge pioneer graduate, Mann Rentoy, gathered a small but determined group of parents and together they introduced the Parents for Education Foundation Inc. (PAREF) system to another small group of parents in Iloilo City. They discussed briefly about character formation, the mentoring system, and the benefits of an all-boys school.

It is the spirit of the Founder of Opus Dei that gives clarity to the whys and hows in Westbridge. We are thankful to him for inspiring PAREF with the philosophy of “Parents First, Teachers Second, and ultimately the students.” The young people are looking for models and they find them in their parents and the teachers.

VINTA

THREE STARS

The Vinta, a sturdy Filipino boat, is the PAREF symbol. it stands for the educational philosophy shared by all schools that belong to the PAREF system.

These signify the three foundation virtues that the school shall try to instill in every Westbridge student: Competence, Service, and Integrity.

THREE WAVY LINES

FISH

These represent the three sets of major players in the school: the parents, the teachers and the students.

This signifies the way by which Westbridge shall provide formation to you. Just as fish is caught "by the head", we also intend to form our students to become virtuous persons by going to the head providing them with all the necessary preparations and giving them solid doctrinal criteria.

DUC IN ALTUM

The school's motto is written at the bottom of the seal. It is in Latin: Duc in Altum, which means "Launch out into the deep" (Luke 5:4)
